Heard It Before
None of them turned out to be true.
“I have two left feet.”
Coordination isn’t something you either have or don’t. It’s a skill, and Amy teaches it. The “two left feet” feeling is almost always gone within a few lessons.
“I’m not coordinated enough.”
Dance is taught one step at a time. Amy moves at your pace, not the pace of an imaginary ideal student. You don’t need pre-existing coordination — that’s part of what you’re building.
“I don’t have a partner.”
A partner is never required. Many of Amy’s students come alone and do beautifully. In group settings, you’ll rotate with others. In private lessons, Amy is your partner.
“I’ll look foolish.”
Every beginner worries about this. Private lessons mean no one is watching. And even in group settings, everyone is focused on their own feet — not yours.
“I’m too old to start.”
Amy teaches adults of every age. Ballroom dance is low-impact, mentally engaging and physically rewarding. Some of her most enthusiastic students started later in life.
“I already dance. Will this challenge me?”
Amy has competed and performed internationally. She’s equally at home coaching advanced and competitive dancers as she is welcoming beginners. If you want to get better, she has the tools.

Twin Cities and Beyond
Whether you’re in St. Paul or Minneapolis, heading north to Roseville or Shoreview, or coming from the western suburbs including Plymouth, Amy is available to teach in the Twin Cities area. Lesson locations and scheduling details are discussed when you reach out.
Amy’s students come from across the metro — some for a wedding, some to get out of the house, some because a friend dragged them to one lesson and they couldn’t stop. Whatever brought you here, the commute is worth it.
Not every person who walks in knows what they want. Not every student knows what they’re capable of. Amy has spent her career turning uncertainty into confidence, one lesson at a time.
