How Private Lessons Work

  1. Reach out. Tell Amy what you want to learn, whether you have a partner, and any date you’re working toward.
  2. Talk it through. Amy recommends a starting point and explains options and pricing.
  3. Schedule around your calendar. Lessons are set up with Amy at a time that works for you.
  4. Learn, practice, repeat. Each lesson builds on the last, and you leave with something to practice at home.

What Your First Lesson Is Like

Your first lesson is relaxed. Amy asks what brought you to dance and what you’d like to be able to do, then starts with posture, a simple basic step and the count. You’ll leave with a few steps you can actually dance and a clear idea of what comes next.

Wear comfortable clothes you can move in and shoes that let you turn. Smooth leather or suede soles work better than grippy sneakers. You don’t need dance shoes to start.

Ready for Your First Private Lesson?
